I act as a thug named Suku, says Shine Tom Chacko
Shine Tom Chacko, is one actor who never needs an introduction to film-goers as he is one among the young actors in the M’town who could reserve his place in the industry with his splendid performances. Shine, who started as an assistant director, was found in the supporting roles and villain avatars until he essayed the protagonist's role in Binu’s Ithihasa.
Even though he is busy with hero roles, Shine manages to find time to enact supporting roles too. It was how he became part of Rajeev Ravi’s Kammattipadam and Aadu-fame Midhun Manuel Thomas’ yet-to-be-titled Sunny Wayn-starrer. Along with that, he is entering the K’town with Sudhi Anna’s bilingual Khadolkhachan.
It was after a gap of three years Shine is teaming up with Rajeev Ravi after the director’s debut Annayum Rasoolum. “I am really happy to work with Rajeev ettan again. It was in last May that Vijayakumar, the casting director of that film, told me about this project. He asked me about my dates. But I said date was not an issue, as I was that much interested to become a part of this project. Later, I met Rajeev ettan and he gave me a brief description of my role,” says Shine about how he became a part of the project in which he acts as ‘Johny’.
He says that Johny is completely different from Abu in Annayum Rasoolum. “Whereas Abu is a loud character, John is a desi character settled in Kammattipadam. My major attraction to this project was of course Rajeev ettan and his team,” says the actor, who opted to keep other details of the films as suspense.
Along with Kammattipadam, Shine has also essayed a supporting role in Midhun Manuel Thomas’ upcoming film, which is currently in the post-production phase.
“I act as a thug named as Suku.” Hallelooyah director Sudhi Anna’s Khadolkhachan marks his entry to Tamil industry.
“In this film, I act along with Myna-fame Vidharth. The film is set against the backdrop of Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Viji, who wrote the screenplay of Tamil film Mozhi and Abhiyum Njanum, is the writer of this project.” When quizzed about the title, he says, “Let it be a suspense.” Aneesh Upasana’s Kinder Joy which has Shine as the lead actor, will hit the screens next month.
