Padmaraj Ratheesh and Chattakkari fame Hemanth Menon will appear in title roles for the film Kathorthu by debutant V.S. Ajayan. A romantic family entertainer, the movie is set to go on floors on July 25. The plot captures lives in both urban and rural settings to be shot in the remote scenic locales of Thiruvananthapuram. “The story gives equal prominence to city and country lives. A longing for unconditional love is what we project,” says the director.
The female lead is Navamy, who has been in the modelling industry. Ajayan has stayed with Kavalam Narayana Panicker’s Sopanam theatre for nearly a decade and enacted in a number of tele-serials and plays. He had a role in G. Aravindan’s Marattam. Lyrics of Manu Manjith and Harinarayanan will be set to tune by Renju Varma. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Joy Mathew and K.B. Ganesh Kumar also handle pivotal roles in the film.
