Abhinay Vaddi ready to shoulder responsibility of family legacy

Abhinay Vaddi, grandson of legendary film couple Gemini Ganesan and Savithri who started with an impressive biopic Ramanujam on the life of the well known Mathematician, is back after a hiatus with an adventure thriller movie where he shares screen space with Trisha and Simran.

The actor, a former national table tennis player and farming enthusiast. says that he is now ready to take the responsibility to carry forward the family legacy, though it is not easy being the grandson of two thespians.

“Yes, I started late in films because of my sports, but now I am being choosy to do quality films in different genre”.

Talking about the adventure film, he says, “It is directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan and Simran and I are a couple. I play a swimmer and the film is shot with lots of underwater sequences.”

Working with Simran who was once his dream girl, he says, “She was very down to earth and has no qualms. It was an honour to work with her. Everyone on the sets was having great fun”.

He says Trisha is a good friend of him and they had lot of combo scenes as well. “Trisha is such a sweet person and wonderful co-star.”

Abhinay has his kitty full with a psychological thriller Michael Aagiya Naan directed by RK with Vasundhra as his pair and a comedy entertainer with editor turned filmmaker Athiyappan Shiva with Shruti Venkat as his romantic counterpart.
