Aparna Balamurali to play lead in Oru Muthassi Gadha
The village belle in Maheshinte Prathikaram, Aparna Balamurali will be seen next as the leading lady in the Jude Anthany Joseph directorial Oru Muthassi Gadha(OMG). This is the first time she is playing the lead role. “I’ll play the darling grandchild of two grannies. The offer seemed too good as it is from the successful team of Ohm Shanthi Oshaana(OSO),” says Aparna. In the movie, she would be paired opposite Rajeev Pillai. Aparna made her debut in Oru Second Class Yathra. Earlier there was talk of Namitha Pramod taking up the role.
Called a ‘grandmatic comedy’, the plot lays emphasis on the life of two elderly women. Vineeth Sreenivasan and dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi handle pivotal roles in the film. The cast also include Suraj Venjaramood, Renji Panicker, Ramesh Pisharady, Lena and Manju Sathish. The same crew of OSO is behind OMG. Music is by Shaan Rahman. The movie would go on floors next week in Kottayam. Munnar, Kodaikanal and Velankanni are the other locations.
