Popular Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran tested COVID-19 positive. The actor-filmmaker tested positive for coronavirus infection during the shooting of his new movie ‘Jana Gana Mana’ progressing in Kochi.
Director of the movie Dijo Jose and few others from the film crew have also been tested positive. Since the actor and director have been infected, shooting was suspended and all crew members will go under quarantine. Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu is doing a major role in the movie with Prithvi.
According to regional media reports, the actor, who is asymptomatic, will go under home quarantine.
In May, Prithviraj had tested negative for coronavirus after his return from Jordan where he was shooting for the movie Aadujeevitham. Director of the movie Blessy and more than 50 crew members who returned from the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan had gone under quarantine and conducted COVID-19 test.
