The Aashiq Abu-Tovino Thomas movie has got a name— Mayaanadhi. The director has made an announcement regarding this on Facebook, same space upon which he broke the news about the film. It came soon after shooting of the movie commenced. Aishwarya Lakshmi from ad-world has been roped in to play the female lead.
Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair are once again scripting for Aashiq after their previous projects Salt and Pepper, 22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya. Rani Padmini’s DOP Jayesh Mohan handles the role for Mayaanadhi as well.
The movie is a joint production of Aashiq and director turned producer Amal Neerad. Aashiq and Tovino are collaborating for the first time. A story of Amal forms the crux of the movie. Aashiq dons the director’s hat after a break. The 2015 flick Rani Padmini starring Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal in the lead was the latest to come from the director. The drama film is slated for a December release.
