Ravishing Roma, bubbly as ever
As a person, Roma is enthusiastic about everything she does. From the way she talks, the stage shows she performs in all over the world and to the roles she takes up for her movies, you can’t help but notice her passionate approach. Even after a considerable gap, it is hard for Malyalis to forget her because of her lively roles in movies like Notebook and Chocolate.
Her last movie Namaste Bali was a year back where she acted alongside Manoj K. Jayan and Aju Varghese. Now, the actress is all set to come back this year with the movie Satya, directed by Deepan, who made box office hits such as Puthiya Mukham.
The actress explains that she selects her role based on her character prominence. “For me what matters is how powerful my role could be and how much of an impact it can create. So I don’t take up every role that comes my way, even if it takes me a year’s gap,” says Roma.
The bubbly actress is, however, very excited to act alongside Jayaram for the first time in her career. “I have acted along with some of the most prominent actors such as Mohanlal, Mammootty , Dileep and Prithviraj and Fahad Fazil and acting with such a versatile actor like Jayaram is very exciting. I am a big fan of Jayaram and I have grown up watching his movies in Tamil, where he has done some intriguing roles. As a person, I found him very supportive and charismatic,” says Roma.
On her role, Roma says she is not allowed to discuss more. “We have finished the first schedule of the movie and will be finishing the second schedule by the end of December. All I can say is that my character is very different from all the other movies I have done till now and it is very challenging. It is a travel movie and we are doing the shooting in Pollachi and Kochi,” adds Roma .
The actress also discloses that she is very keen to work with Nivin Pauly in future. “Even though I am looking forward to act with all the other actors once again, I am also keen to work with the new record breakers like Nivin and Dulquer Salman.,” signs off Roma.
