After Alphonse Puthren’s Neram and debutant Gautham Ramachandran’s Santa Maria, the young super star of M’town Nivin Pauly has got yet another big offer from Kollywood. If a source from the film industry is to be believed, super hit filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is the one who approached Nivin for his next. “In fact two projects are under discussion. One will be directed by Gautham Menon, the second will be directed by another filmmaker for Gautham’s production house. Hopefully, the projects will be locked soon,” says the source.
Will it be in Malayalam? “No, both projects will be in Tamil only,” he adds. Interestingly the Malayali director who is creating hits in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, is all set to team up with yet another star from M’town — Prithviraj, for a multilingual project. That film is expected to start production in July next year. In the meantime, Nivin has one more film in Tamil which will be directed by Pattalam director Prabhu Radhakrishnan. It will be written and produced by RD Raja, who recently produced Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo. Nivin is currently acting in debutant Althaf’s Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela.
