Time seems to have flown by and one can certainly not call Malavika Nair a child actor anymore. The girl who was noticed for her performance in the film Karutha Pakshikal with Mammooty has metamorphosed into a young woman. That change has not gone unnoticed in the industry with Malavika being cast as the heroine in the film Dafedaar starring Tini Tom in the lead. Malavika will be replacing Ananya in the film. Talking about her role, she says, “I play the role of Amala who has finished her nursing and is assigned to look after Tini Tom.
For the first time I get to play this bubbly, chirpy and bold girl which is a welcome change from the usual cry baby roles that I have been doing so far. I am really looking forward to the film!” Is she nervous given the added responsibility of partly shouldering a film? Malavika answers,” Yes, I am! I am nervous and scared but I guess there is also an edge of excitement that is churning in me.”
