After a small gap, noted director Aashiq Abu is all set to wield megaphone. This time he will be making a film with Tovino Thomas in the lead role. It was through his Facebook page, the director announced his new project. Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair, who penned Aashiq’s Salt and Pepper, 22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya, will compose the screenplay. Cinematographer-director Amal Neerad will bankroll this yet-to-be-titled film which is based on his own story. He is also the producer of his new directorial venture Comrade in America, with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role.
Jayesh Mohan, who worked as the still photographer in Aashiq’s previous film Rani Padmini, will crank the camera. He has earlier operated camera for Sunil Ibrahim-directed Y. This is for the first time that Tovino acts in Aashiq’s film. He is currently acting in his debut Tamil film directed by B. R. Vijayalakshmi. His films awaiting for release are Basil Joseph’s Godha and Tom Immatty-directed Oru Mexican Aparatha.
