Taking sides
It is a controversial time for Shane Nigam. Back-to-back complaints about his ‘unprofessional’ attitude, mud-slinging and the most recent haircut act seem to take a toll on the career of one of the most promising actors of M’town today.
While trolls and the producers association ruthlessly slam the young actor and his alleged arrogance, there are a few who stand with Shane. Geo V., director of Qurbani, a film with Shane in the lead, has come in support of the actor. Stressing that the latest makeover of the actor wouldn’t affect his film in any way, Geo says, “Shane has been very cooperative throughout the discussions and shooting of Qurbani. As an artiste who always encourages the talents of newbie directors, Shane has been extremely supportive of us all. I stress that the new getup of the actor will, in no way, affect the shooting of the film.” Qurbani, also penned by Geo, is produced by Mahasubair under the banner of Varnachitra Big Screens.
The film will have among the cast Pathinettam Padi-fame Arsha Baiju, along with Harisree Ashokan, Joy Mathew, Nandini, Hareesh Kanaran, Nayana Anil, Kottayam Pradeep, Sunil Sukhada, Sreejith Ravi, Prasanth Alexander, and many others. Sunoj Velayudhan handles cinematography whereas Afsal, Mujeeb Majeed and Justin Johns compose the songs.
