News regarding the neo noir movie starring Shine Tom Chacko and Rajeev Pillai has been doing the rounds for a while. But not much has been heard since the announcement came towards the far end of December last year. Now an FB update from one of the lead actors, Rajeev, has revealed much more. Adman-cum-film editor Ajay Devaloka’s Malayalam debut Isbaella is getting a prequel, Who, where Rajeev plays the character Hector Lewis. Oru Muthassi Gadha is his latest.
“Before the launch of Isabella, we thought of coming up with a prequel. It is a time travel. An indie movie as this is a first in Malayalam. The shooting locations are in Nepal and Nainital,” he says. Malayalam already has a film Isabella released in the 1980s. The romantic drama had Balachandra Menon and Sumalatha in the lead. Who also has Shruthi Menon and Pearle Maaney in the cast.
