Chennai 2 Singapore Movie Review: A film that can be enjoyed only in parts!

Harish (Gokul Anand) is a struggling filmmaker who is yet to get a producer for his debut. After a producer in Chennai cheats him, Harish gets an opportunity to go to Singapore to meet a producer. But his misfortunes continue to strike there. He loses his passport and also the businessman who was supposed to make his film is hospitalized.

Meanwhile Harish chances upon a smalltime cameraman Vaanambadi (Rajesh Balachandran) and he takes him to a rich hotelier Michael Muruganandham (Shiv Kesav) who wants to make a romantic film for his paramour. Harish is perplexed as he feels that he cannot write a romantic script. In the meantime, he falls for a girl Roshini (Anju Kurian) who is suffering from cancer. Does he succeed in his attempt and become a director forms the rest of this mindless comedy.

Gokul has performed decently and emotes well to an extent. Rajesh Balachandran is loud and though his nonstop chattering is meant to be funny, it is irksome at times. Anju Kurien is passable. Shiv Kesav and Emcee Jesz are okay.

While touted as a rom-com, there’s hardly any ‘rom’ in 'C2S' and only ‘com’ overtakes. Though the intension of the director is to make audiences laugh, he writing is inconsistent. There are many logical loopholes and the visuals are average despite shot in Singapore. The best thing about the movie is the unconventional and zappy music by Ghibran, who is also the co-producer of the movie. A film that can be enjoyed only in parts!
