A breath of fresh air in sandalwood continues to spread as more ‘sensible’ subjects lead to enthrall its audience. This latest one is not just beautiful but comes with a bold message, ending on a high note. The root cause of every problem is always connected with an evil and corrupt mind, and Jayatheertha has webbed it with an impressive women-centric tale.

Based on a real incident with a slight change in circumstances for cinematic purpose, ‘Beautiful Manasugalu’ is a good attempt but it also comes with few grey areas where the beautiful essence gets lost for while before it soon regains, striking the right chords in the end. An irresponsible son of a wine store owner falls in love with a beautiful and responsible girl. She (Nandhini played by Sruthi) is the lone bread winner in her family and has no time to waste for love.

Smitten by her ‘beautiful manasu’, Prashath alias Pacchi (played by Satish) manages to Nandhini’s heart, and starts to lead a responsible life. The background score, mostly relying on popular songs to pep up scenes is one of the ugly parts of it but the twist comes as a perfect acceleration. Nandhini, and another girl working are publicly shamed after a corrupt police officer conducts a fake raid at the parlour they are working when the owner refuses to pay him any hafta.

Soon, the real picture behind the scam is revealed but the damage is already done. Nandhini is further devastated when her lover too doubts her. Realising his grave mistake, Pacchi takes on to himself and does something incredible.

Achyuth Kumar’s acting brilliance makes it easy for him to play the cop, and the return of 'Lucia' pair – Satish and Sruthi is another beautiful factor to watch out for. So, what Pacchi does to publicly unmask the corrupt cop makes all the difference and certainly ends beautifully.
