Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has been sought-after for shop openings these days. “She pockets Rs 15 lakh per event and other expenses,” says a celebrity manager who adds, “She is in demand for such events because she has gained enough popularity among Telugu audience and she is welcomed with overwhelming response,’ he adds.
He admits that many actresses including Srinidhi, Payal Rajput, Anasuya and above all Sreeleela also have endorsed retail brands. “Actresses take home anywhere between Rs 5 to 15 lakhs each depending upon their popularity. Being a festival season, retail brands are running behind actresses to inaugurate their gold or saree outlets,’ he points out.
No doubt, Mrunal rose to the top in Tollywood with hits like ‘Sita Ramam’ and ‘Hi Nanna’ but couldn’t repeat the magic with ‘The Family Star’ and was last seen in a cameo on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. "She is waiting for a plum offer from Tollywood,” he concludes.
