We chat with Prashant about his musical favourites:
What’s the one song you have on repeat on your iPod these days?
Danza Kuduro.
If you had to put together a soundtrack for your life, name five songs that would feature in it?
Santana’s Maria, Rickey Martin’s Maria, We are the World by Micheal Jackson, Bon Jovi’s Always, and Hotel California by Eagles.
These songs have different flavours and range from ballad to groovy. I’m a big fan of Santana’s guitars and Maria is my absolute favourite.
Is there any music you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by when you think back?
Well, not specifically. I loved music by Backstreet Boys and Boyzone. But, I still love their music.
How would you describe your taste in music?
Music has no language, but I admire Spanish and Latin music. House is my second best. I like blues and alternate rock too.
What’s your favourite time of the day to listen to music?
I only listen when I drive, cook or dance.
If you could have one musician perform a private concert for you, who would it be?
I would love that band to be assorted. Have Micheal Jackson, Eric Clapton, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Eagles, and of course, Santana.
Which is the one live act you would love to see at least once in your life?
A. R. Rahman
