Badshah is all set to don the judge’s hat for an upcoming reality show Dil Hai Hindustani. The rapper will be judging a show for the first time with Karan Johar, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shalmali Kholgade.
Did the daunting responsibility make him nervous, we ask, “Not at all! My job is to explore their talent, discover their stories so people can connect with them. I thought I should give it a try anyway,” Badshah says.
Recently, the rapper was in news for undergoing depression. Opening up on the issue he shares, “Yes, I suffered a bout of depression recently. I think everybody gets depressed. My depression had nothing to do with success.”
“It was more about the lack of time I was able to spend with my parents. When you become successful you want to do a lot of things and often you don’t get enough time with people you love the most in your life. My parents live in Chandigarh. Every time I go back home, I see them getting older which is tough for me. It saddens me. I was even thinking of leaving everything to just be with them. But they put all my worries at bay when they said I should continue working and they’ll be fine,” he signs off.
