The Address in the UN
In 2018, the BTS became the first ever K-group to speak at the United Nations. Later in 2021, the band of septet also performed at the UN headquarters in New York.
Meeting Joe Biden
US President Joe Biden invited the band to White House to discuss rising anti-Asian crimes in the country.
BTS Grammy Nomination
BTS is the first South Korean band to have received a Grammy nomination and also the first South Korean pop act to be performed at the prestigious function. So far, the band bagged three Grammy nominations. Dynamite, the band’s first full-length English track, an upbeat disco-pop number with funk elements, secured them their first Grammy nomination.

The album hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100 and even shattered Taylor Swift’s first-week record sales of Look What You Made Me Do. It also shattered Spotify’s first-day streaming records making Dynamite the biggest opening day for a song in 2020.
BTS beats Psy’s record
BTS’ Dynamite has broken several records, which also includes the septet surpassing their fellow K-pop artist Psy. Before the release of Dynamite, Psy’s Gangnam style stayed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for a consecutive 31-week run. In the 32nd week, the BTS track made it to the top.
TIME magazine cover
In 2018, the BTS also became the first boy Korean group to feature on the cover of TIME magazine.
Entertainer of the Year
In 2019, the BTS made it to Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list as it became one of the biggest music bands in the world. One year later, BTS was also crowned the 2020 Entertainer of the Year by the magazine.
Artistic association
BTS has become the first Korean band to have collaborated with major international artists including Coldplay, Halsey, Benny Blanco, and Snoop Dogg, and others.
NYE performance
BTS became the first Korean band to perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. The septet participated in the iconic NYE celebrations hosted at Times Square and displayed an energetic performance of Boy With Luv.

The band has a total of 25 Guinness World Records in their kitty. The band dethroned several artists including One Direction which was the most-followed boy band on Twitter.
