He’s a rockstar and can win your heart everytime he croons his soulful renditions. Singer, music composer and music director Ankit Tiwari who has given hit songs like Sunn Raha Hai from Aashiqui 2, Galliyan from Ek Villain and many others was in Bengaluru recently to launch his music video Badtameez that’s already making waves (4 million likes to be precise).
For someone who made his debut in a Kannada film with the song Nillu Nillu from Dil Rangeela composed by Arjun Janya, Bengaluru city has a special place in his heart as he states, “I love the weather and the people here are extremely warm and affectionate. From the time we landed at the airport to every single moment spent here was wonderful. Although this time we didn’t get much time to go out, we are coming back soon for a concert here as the Bengaluru audience loves us so much.”
The young singer who has won 28 awards has done steered away from the usual and done something that he generally does not do. The rebellious song has heavy rock influences. Everyone celebrates love but this time I’m celebrating a broken heart. I’ve so far given many love anthems, but this time I wanted to tell everyone that life isn’t a bed of roses when it’s unfulfilled. There’s also pain and anger. Badtameez is a loud and heavy rock single yet melodious. It revolves around the story of a rebellious lover who tries to get the love of his life, played by Sonal Chauhan of Jannat fame, but fails because of unavoidable circumstances. The video is directed by Sidhant Sachdev. There’s also a social message that you will find in there,” states Ankit who has co-produced it with Ankur Tiwari, of Brotherhood Entertainment.
Talking of his upcoming songs, the singer with a soul stirring voice adds, “All the Do Lafzon Ki Kahani songs have been released and we have got a lot of compliments for them. Also coming up are songs from Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom, Tum Bin 2 and Ileana D'Cruz and Emraan Hashmi starrer Baadshaho.”
