Premgi Amaren is all set to showcase his love for the ultimate dance and music icon — none other than Michael Jackson himself, with a tribute song and music video for the legend! Titled ‘MJ The One’ the tribute event also comprises of a dance contest for corporates, colleges and students from all over TN.
And guess who’s the face of the event? None other than our very own dancing legend Prabhudheva, who will be the chief guest for the occasion, which is set to happen on Michael Jackson’s birthday — August 29.
“Yes, I am composing it for Michael Jackson’s birthday. It will be released a week before his birthday, I guess. The orchestration and feel of the song will be in MJ’s style, and the lyrics will be about how his songs will be there forever, even if he is no more. There will also be many references to his superhit songs in the lyrics. The song is titled ‘King of Pop’,” says Premgi, excitedly.
He adds, “Suresh Peter and I have sung for the number. Suresh is also a great fan of MJ and, he has a voice somewhat close to that of the legend!. One of my friends named Vinoth Kumar has penned the lyrics. We are also planning to shoot a music video for the song, but I am not sure when we will start filming for it.”
Many celebs from Kollywood are expected to be part of the video, that is sure to be a play on one of MJ’s famous works.
Actor Aravind Akash (of Chennai-28 fame) and hip-hop instructor Raghu are the organisers of the massive fest, that will also have a celebrity jury panel with the likes of Venkat Prabhu, actress Sangeetha, etc.
