Close on the heels of doing a significant role in Tamil star Dhanush film ‘Kubera’, the seasoned star Nagarjuna is all set to share screen space with Dhanush ex-father-in-law and superstar Rajinikanth in ‘Coolie’ to give himself a chance to explore varied roles. Acknowledging the same, Nagarjuna thanked director Lokesh Kanagaraj and expressed his happiness to work with Rajinikanth. He wrote “Thank uuuu Loki, I hv been wanting to work with you since kaithi !!! Absolutely excited for our journey ahead. Looking forward to sharing screen space with the Thalaivar”.
No doubt, he is choosing roles with substance that would suit his stature and popularity. “Nagarjuna's look from ‘Coolie’ is quite stunning and flamboyant and similarly his look from ‘Kubera’ was also exciting and intriguing, ’ he adds. He claims that Nagarjuna has become a specialist for prominent roles these days. “His last film as hero was ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ and it was a money-spinner. Meanwhile, he is picking special roles to showcase his acting repertoire. He would start his film as a hero once he gets the right script,” he adds.
In fact, ‘Hello Brother’ actor is doing almost a parallel role in ‘Kubera’ and teaming up with new-age actor Dhanush has triggered a lot of hype around the film. “They were looking for a star performer to make the film a multi-starrer and further make the script gripping with solid performances. They found Nagarjuna ideal for the part given his experience and knowledge over the craft and both the actors set to light up the screens,’ he concludes.
