BLACKPINK Jisoo, Park Jung Min in New K Drama

Park Jung Min and BLACKPINK's Jisoo will be starring in the new Coupang Play series “Influenza”, according to YTN. Reacting to the report, a source in Park Jung Min’s agency SEM Company shared, “It is one of the projects that he is reviewing to star in.”

Similarly, Jisoo’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed that she has received an offer for ‘Influenza’ and is reviewing the offer.

“Influenza” is set against the backdrop of a high-rise air defense unit in Seoul. It is the story of soldier Jae Yoon and his girlfriend Young Joo who was just informed of their breakup, even as they run towards each other while struggling to face a crowd of zombies.

Scriptwriter Han Ji Won of “Parasite,” and director Yoon Sung Hyun of “Bleak Night” and “Time to Hunt,” and writer Ji Ho Jin are collaborating for the drama.

Park Jung Min will reportedly play the role of Jae Yoon who belatedly enlisted in the military at the age of 26, after trying to get appointed in a job relating to the defense industry. Anxious over the future, he obsesses over his girlfriend and ends breaking up with her. After some time, he faces a world overcome by zombies. Once weak and not confident, Yoon gradually begins to rise as a leader of a squad, having tried to confront with the zombies.

Jisoo will play the role of Young Joo who is new to the workforce and waiting for her boyfriend to return from the military. She receives notice of their break up even as she is still tries to find ways to make Yoon understand her feelings. Then she sets out to meet her boyfriend but discovers that zombies have taken over. Gradually, she gains courage durnig her fight to survive.
