After having been part of a handful of Bengali films, Darshana Banik made her South debut with Aatagaallu. She followed it up with several films, including some in Tamil. And now, the actress will be seen in an important role in Season 2 of Save the Tigers.
“I know Save the Tigers was a blockbuster show, so I am glad that I got the opportunity to be part of the second season. When I was approached for the part, it was a no-brainer for me. I did not need to think much before coming on board,” says Darshana, adding that she started shooting after director Arjun K gave her the narration.
The actress, who has completed shooting for her part, was not part of Season One. “This is a role that the makers have introduced for Season Two. This character is a girl of today. I believe the role gives me the opportunity for substantial performance,” she says. It also includes Salsa dance scenes, and Darshana says though she had little time to work on the art, she did her best to pull off the scenes.
