Padma Shri-Awardee and National Award-winner Manoj Bajpayee is considered a top hero on almost all the OTT platforms, with his recently-released films sending his fan base soaring. The actor was present at a Masterclass on the art of crafting captivating series for OTT, organised as part of the ongoing 54th IFFI, 2023, in Goa, where the trailer of his Joram was also screened. We caught up with the actor for an exclusive chat.
Present busy phase
“I am happy that I am getting enough work. I am hungry for good work. Joram, which has been acclaimed at International Festivals, will soon be out.
Preferred medium
I am open to work in both mediums, but the makers should be able to decide which film should go to OTT and which one needs to be shown on the big screen. I just want to work hard and keep doing good and different stuff.
Awards for OTT series and films introduced at the 54th IFFI
This signifies that OTT is becoming very powerful. It has become the go-to medium for everyone in India. Good content is being served meticulously on different platforms.

I feel blessed when I get an overwhelming response. I am living my dream of being part of magical and great content in the industry. It’s happening because of young and fresh directors.
Family Man popularity
I am happy that Family Man has transcended the boundaries of East, West, North and South. I have a huge audience and also a huge fan base. Surprisingly, Family Man also won me a fan base among children – I feel this is wonderful, and I’m humbled by it too.
SPECIAL projects
My films Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai and Gulmohar, have received praises. We will be shooting the next part of Family Man in February 2024. Jorum will be released on December 8th in theatres and next month, the series, Killer Soup.
