Disney Plus Hotstar unveiled the trailer of one of its most popular and awaited projects called Bad Cop. The trailer looks promising and is an absolute mix of crime, action, and comedy. Directed by Aditya Dutt, who has previously made Crakk. Bad Cop is now all set to exclusively stream on Disney Plus Hotstar on June 21, 2024.
The trailer offers a sneak peek into the interesting characters and complicated storyline. Anurag Kashyap stars as Kazbe, a sharp-witted and perilous gangster at the back of bars. Opposite him is Karan, a meek cop with a notorious dual brother, Arjun, who is wanted for homicide. The solid is rounded out by Khan, a determined CIB officer, and Devika, Karan’s spouse and his superior inside the police force.
Bad Cop is an adaptation of the German show Bad Cop: Kriminell Gut (2017) by RTL. The Indian version is penned by Rensil D’Silva, recognised for Bambai Meri Jaan, who has tailor-made the tale to shape the Indian context. The series has an ensemble cast, which includes Harleen Sethi from Kohrra and Broken But Beautiful, Saurabh Sachdeva from Animal, and Aishwarya Sushmita from Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.
Both Kashyap and Devaiah are known for their skills in direction and acting respectively. Kashyap who has made films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Raman Raghav 2.0, Sacred Games and more has been seen acting in films like AK vs AK. Devaiah has proved his mettle in his works like Hunterrr, Shaitan, Hate Story, Guns & Gulaabs, Dahaad, Duranga and more.
