I'm a huge fan of Sarpatta, says Dhairya Karwa ahead of Gyaarah Gyaarah’s release

Actor Dhairya Karwa has become popular among the audience with his performance in Uri, 83 and Gehraiyaan. This handsome hunk has not just impress the audience with his looks, but also with the amazing performance on the screen. Dhairya is super excited for his upcoming web series, Gyaarah Gyaarah on Zee 5 in which he plays a cop. Talking to Deccan Chronicle exclusively, Dhairya shares some insight on the series, his character, previous films and his projects.

Hello, Dhairya! How excited are you for Gyaarah Gyaarah?
I'm super excited about the series. It has come out really well and the character is something I enjoyed playing. The entire series, the story, director Umesh, complete team is so great and talented.

The characters you have played and now the cop, they are so contrary. So how do you balance it?
They are completely contrary. I am just five films old and all of them have been of different characters. Each one of them has different screen space and importance on the screen. As I am in the initial stage of my career, it cannot be of a balance all the time. I am still exploring the chances and making a name for myself. I read the script, understand the importance of the character and then decide what to do with it.

Tell us about Gyaarah Gyaarah
This series has an interesting and gripping story that will make you hooked to your seats. It kind of runs in two different timelines, and it will be very interesting to see and know why and how one timeline is connected to the other. Then entire team has given an amazing output to this web series. Director Umesh is such a nice person to work with, and he has made sure there is always a good vibe on the site, and it has been a great experience to work with all of them. It was never a dull day.

What were the challenges you faced while playing a cop on screen?
This character needs a lot of physical effort, unlike the ones I have played till now. In Gehraiyaan, it was more of just being on the yacht and chilling. Uri and 83 are different altogether. There's one action sequence in the first episode, which took a lot of time to be shot, and I had to put in a lot of physical efforts to do that sequence, but you won't even believe that it doesn't even have that much of screen time. There have been some scenes where I was just running, running and running. And this one, specially being a crime thriller and me being a cop on the screen, the efforts had to be so much that I wanted to give more than my best.

When it comes to work, who is your inspiration?
My inspiration, any day is Amitabh Bachchan sir. The man has seen it all in his life. In his 80s too, he's working so hard and still one of the strongest pillars of Indian cinema. Amitabh sir is an inspiration to many people like me. He has seen the highest and the lowest times. He is still working hard and giving us goals.

Do you watch South Indian films ?
Yes. I do. Not like regularly but I watch the ones that people talk about the most. My favourite films are Super Deluxe and Sarpatta Paramabarai. Two best films that I watched and loved them to the core.
