Dhanush’s Raayan locks OTT streaming date

The latest Kollywood release “Raayan” is a remarkable moment in the life of Dhanush as it is this 50th film as a hero and second directorial project. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidasu Jairam, and Dushara Vijayan among others and has been making news for its upcoming OTT release.

Amazon Prime Video announced that Raayan will have its premiere on the 23rd of August, 2024. Raayan shall be streamed in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Within box offices across India, Raayan has already dominated the screens becoming the highest grossing Tamil film of 2024 with almost Rs.150 crores box office collections.

Although not much was achieved by this film in terms of success within Telugu states, but how it performs in OTT platforms remains unknown at present. Produced by Sun Pictures with a music score by AR Rahman and featuring Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing notable roles; Raayan is expected to beckon a wider audience when it comes out digitally as an A-certified action drama.
