Prabhas's Kalki 2898 AD OTT Release Details

Despite receiving little marketing hype and losing confidence in Prabhas’ acting skills, Kalki 2898 AD still counts as one of the most antici-pated films. In India where homegrown sci-fi is limitedly unknown it has opened up new horizons. After an initial backlash, audiences are slowly streaming into theaters for this larger than life story experience.

The film has received mixed feedback with both critics and the public pointing out its strengths and weaknesses. But the purest of all is Kalki 2898 AD not only as a story line but also as an entire film experience. Even though it has been accused of taking ideas from VFX crew, fans are loving the visual and immersive elements to it. After having had such disappointing experiences with Brahmastra and Adipurush, Indian VFX is hopeful again on Kalki 2898 AD.

Nag Ashwin is lauded for his visionary direction while Amitabh Bachchan’s role was hailed as that of supporting actor. While some segments seem weak in the movie itself, taken together; they have received a positive response indicating that despite this flaw; there is still a strong appeal for it.

Furthermore, Amazon Prime Video bought streaming rights of the aforementioned Kalki 2898 AD. This deal holds great weight particularly given Telugu movies on Netflix which usually shows preference towards this kind of genre. Though there is no fixed date for when it will be available on any streaming site or app, we expect it to do well at the box-office before cooling off strategically prior to hitting Prime video.
