The much-awaited science fiction movie called Kalki 2898 AD that featured Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan is all set to be premiered on OTT. After hitting the movie halls on May 9th of 2024,the film will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 23rd,2024 as per Let’s Cinema. The film can be viewed in several languages like Telugu,Tamil,Malayalam,and Kannada.
Directed by Nag Aswin, Kalki 2898 AD takes place in a dystopian future that opens six thousand years after Kurukshetra War from Mahabharata. It narrates a story about Kasi being the last city of Earth in the year 2898 AD under the totalitarian regime led by Supreme Yaskin who claims himself as god.
In this dismal existence where common men and women struggle against high odds to survive,the light at end of tunnel comes when Kalki,the tenth avatar of God Lord Vishnu supposedly comes to put an end to the Kali Yuga.
The movie tells its story with a blend of Hindu mythology and modern sci-fi which makes it visually engaging and thrilling at once. The movie stars Disha Patani,Rajendra Prasad,Shobhana,Saswata Chatterjee,Brahmanandam,Pasupathy , Anna Ben etc along with its ensemble star cast.
Moreover Kalki 2898 AD had other big names like Vijay Deverakonda,Dulquer Salmaan,SS Rajamouli,Ram Gopal Varma among others doing cameo roles in addition to its main cast.Through this release,Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2,it means the Kalki Cinematic Universe is here to stay.
