Little Hearts OTT release: Here is where and when you can watch the films
Shane Nigam and Mahima Nambiar’s romantic comedy, which was released in theaters on June 7th, 2024, has now arrived at Amazon Prime Video’s online streaming platform. The movie, directed by Aby Treesa Paul and Anto Jose Pereira, was made available for streaming on August 13th, 2024.
Sandra Thomas announced this much-awaited news in her Instagram post: “Finally! Little Hearts will be live-streamed on Amazon Prime from midnight today. Your opinions are always welcome. Thanks!”
Sibi + Baby, Little Hearts captures a simple lifestyle led by Sibi and his father Pushpakandam (situated) on a cardamom estate owned by a close family friend of theirs. This film shows unexpected twists that occurred in romance between Sibi’s Dad and himself through an emotional rollercoaster to deliver it without leaving anyone heartbroken.
The film received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success in theaters. Besides Shane Nigam and Mahima Nambiar, other actors featured include Baburaj, Shine Tom Chacko, Jaffer Idukki, Aima Rosmy Sebastian, Ramya Suvi, Renji Panicker, Maala Parvathy Shammi Thilakan etc. The script was done by Rajesh Pinnadan with music composed by Kailas Menon.
Interestingly , the GCC countries boycotted the film upon its release because they perceived it as one of the three love stories promoting homosexuality. However, it also addressed issues of queer identity as well as seeking social acceptance and getting married within Indian society for LGBTQ+ persons.
The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council (KCBC) labeled it an “immoral idea hatched in anti-Christianity,” accusing it of propagating same-sex intercourse, and adultery.
In the meantime, Shane Nigam is shooting for his debut Tamil movie Madraskaaran by Vaali Mohan Das. Meanwhile he has other works such as Aayirathonnam Ravu and Painkili.
