Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam OTT release Date Confirmed
Rao Ramesh’s recent release Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam which was well received at the box office after its release on August 23. Lakshman Karya is the director of the part and has come to the OTT, now it is available on Aha on September 20.
Reports suggest that the streaming platform secured the digital rights for Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam at a considerably high amount, but the exact amount has not been disclosed. The film reportedly cost around Rs 4 crore and is now available on over-the-top platforms which further widens the ambit of the audience for this interesting family drama.
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam focuses on Subramanyam, a widower who has lost his job. Things seem to get better for him when he discovers ten lakh rupees sitting in his bank account all of a sudden. Without knowing the source of the money, he opts to use it and some problems that happen in that lead on to cause recession come into picture.
The film is directed by Lakshman Karya and Rao Ramesh plays the lead along with a rich supporting cast comprising of Ramya Pasupuleti Indraja Ajay Annapurnamma Ankith Koyya etc. The family drama has got an appreciation for its interesting plot and acting.
Rao Ramesh is one of the highest-earning character artists in South Indian cinema who is often in the news for more than just his acting skills. In an earlier interview, he stated that he earns more than Rs 4.5 lakh per day. He said, “ Rs 4.5 lakh is a lesser figure. I earned more than that in a day and all were white and taxes were being paid on every paisa”.
He also touched upon the exploitation of the character artists in the Telugu film industry and explained why he has always been firm on his terms in such exercises. Ramesh said although character actors in Telugu films do generally receive a very small amount however he has been able to earn comparatively much more money leveraging other tactics where it was mentioned that even people who are not part of the industry earn more than this.
