Bharath is not a household name in the Telugu states, but for four months after ‘Premisthe’ (2022) came out, footage from the sleazy sex drama – of him popping Viagra pills – trended endlessly on TikToK. Can his first thriller, originally known as Miral, transform his otherwise thankless career?
Miral had its Telugu theatrical release on 17 May 2024, and was released on Telugu-language streaming service Aha on 7 June. The Tamil version is already available on Aha Tamil, where it has received mixed reviews from Telugu and Tamil viewers.
Directed by M Sakthivel in his first film, Miral is produced by Dilli Babu under his company Axess Film Factory. The film stars Vani Bhoja in the lead role. The cast includes KS Ravikumar, Meera Krishnan and Rajkumar in the other roles.
Even as Miral received mixed reception in theaters, it awaits the eagerness-filled release on Aha Telugu, with Bharath’s fans and aficionados of thrillers.
