The release of Rakshana on June 7, 2024 was quiet compared to other releases such as Navdeep's Love Mouli and Kajal Aggarwal's Satyabhama. As the rumors claim that Payal Rajput did not take part in the film due to non-payment of her fees, this lack of promotion from her side has hurt the relationship she had with its producers. They even went to the Hyderabad Producers Council hoping their grievances will be heard.
Rakshana directed by Prandeep Thakore with music by Mahati Swara Sagar boasted a galaxy of stars including Shivannarayana, Maanas, Rajeev Kanakala., Vinod Balaand Anand Chakrapani. The film had Payal performing very well; however it struggled at box office due to a poor narrative.
