Squid Game Season 3 Leaked Much Before Netflix Release

The wait for Squid Game Season 3 is shorter than expected! Netflix has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated third and final season of the South Korean survival thriller will premiere on June 27, 2025.
The streaming giant made the announcement with a new poster that instantly grabbed attention. The image features a masked guard in the signature pink uniform dragging a deceased player—dressed in the show’s iconic green tracksuit—into a black coffin wrapped with a bow. The ominous artwork hints at the high stakes of the final season.
Along with the poster, Netflix wrote, “Press (○) for the final round. Watch Squid Game Season 3 on June 27. #NextOnNetflix.” The background features floral murals forming a circle, reinforcing the eerie atmosphere that fans have come to expect.
Fans React to the Announcement
After waiting nearly three years between Seasons 1 and 2, fans were both excited and skeptical about the news. One user commented, “You mean this June, right?” Another added, “Hype mode activated!” Some fans even pointed out that Netflix had previously leaked the release date before deleting a teaser, making this confirmation all the more satisfying.
Adding to the excitement, the poster includes the phrase "Prepare for the final game," suggesting that this will be the last installment of the series.
What to Expect in Season 3
Squid Game follows Lee Jung-jae’s character, Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), as he battles through deadly childhood games for a chance to win a massive cash prize.
Season 1 saw him unintentionally entering the games to clear his debts.
Season 2, which was released in 2024, followed him as he willingly returned in an attempt to bring down the sinister organization behind the competition. However, Lee Byung-hun’s character, the Frontman, proved to be a formidable opponent.
Season 3 will pick up from the cliffhanger ending of Season 2, where Gi-hun made a shocking decision that could change the fate of the games forever.
Additionally, Wi Ha-joon, who plays police officer Hwang Jun-ho, is expected to return, as his character still has unfinished business with the organization. With the final season promising more twists, intense survival challenges, and psychological warfare, Squid Game fans can finally mark their calendars for June 27.
