Stree 2 OTT Release Date Confirmed
It has been six years since the success of Stree and now the filmmakers have come back with a sequel which has been the most awaited among the masses over the years, Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank. With Amar Kaushik at the helm,this 2024 release has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It is the fifth in the series of Vishal D’s horror-comedy universe created by Dinesh Vijan after Stree, Roohi, Bhediya and the latest Munjya.
Stree 2 shows the continuation of the haunted story in the town of Chanderi, where the residents wake up to the wake of an apparition called Sarkata. The film which was released in the theatres on 15th August which the Indians celebrate as their restless Independence Day has been looking forward to some success and the trailer has already excited genre fans to a great degree.
Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande produced Stree 2 under the Maddock Films and Jio Studios with the original cast resuming their roles. Leading actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are back with the superb cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Sunita Rajwar complete the cast as before even friendly faces of Rudra and Jana. The ensemble cast from the first film now features as the second film’s plot. Their amusing combination of tension, terror and comedy, yet entertaining overall, has kept the viewers entranced.
Stree 2 has received a lot of attention for its interesting plot, impressive cast, surprising roller coaster details, making it a good attraction at the box office. As the theatres are still active with the film, the best bet at the moment from the fans remains OTT, which the film currently has an anticipation for. The movie is yet to be released on OTT.
