Kamal Haasan, a few days ago announced officially he would not return as the host for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil since he was committed to film projects. This has left fans replying to his decision on who will take over the helm. Recent rumors have it that Vijay Sethupathi may be the one doing the honors of hosting Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.
Star Vijay’s Bigg Boss Tamil is one of those programmes loved by many in Tamil media, and it consistently tops TRP ratings through its eight seasons so far. Thus, when Kamal Haasan resigned from office recently, many thought it would be Simbu (Silambarasan TR) who earlier hosted Bigg Boss Ultimate which is its spin-off show. However, he too cannot bear this additional duty due to his own schedule.
In recent times there have been several unconfirmed reports linking Sarath Kumar and Vijay Sethupathi to being considered for hosts. He appears to be the best among them. One must not underestimate Sethupathi; already seen him in TV shows such as Namma Ooru Hero which aired on Sun TV and MasterChef India—Tamil Season 1.
However, none of these rumors have been substantiated yet and fans eagerly wait for an announcement soon.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is currently enjoying the success of his recent film Maharaja, where he plays the titular role. The movie released on June 14th and has received critical acclaim from both audiences making it one of South India’s biggest releases this year.
