Undoubtedly, the popularity and charisma of glam diva Pooja Hegde seems to be intact since she is reportedly drawing the highest pay of her career in Kollywood. ‘Pooja Hegde would be pocketing Rs 4 crore for her next Tamil film and it is the highest in her career,” says a source and adds, “She is excited to be part of Tamil superstar Suriya 44th film to be directed by Karthick Subbaraj. She is doing an interesting role,” he adds.
The actress was reportedly drawing anywhere between Rs 2.5 to 3 crore per film in Tollywood and kept her ratings high by working with big stars like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun to carve a niche for herself in Tollywood. “She avoided many films with middle-range heroes to keep her stocks soaring and didn’t compromise despite fancy offers. She was waiting for a big ticket movie and finally, she bagged a plum offer in the much-awaited Tamil film,” he points out.
Earlier, she shared screen space with Tamil superstar Vijay in ‘Beast’ and matched dancing steps with him in racy number ‘Abhibho’ and their onscreen chemistry clicked in a big way. ‘She may do a few more big Tamil movies,’ he concludes.
