Reigning star Prabhas extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone on her 39th birthday through his social media handle. He expressed his admiration for her and wished her success and happiness in the coming year.
"Happy birthday to the ever-talented Deepika Padukone! Wishing you joy, success, and endless happiness," wrote Prabhas, highlighting her exceptional talent and their camaraderie as co-stars.
The duo shared screen space in the much-anticipated blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, where they portrayed pivotal roles in the science-fiction thriller. Although their characters were not romantically linked, their performances stood out in the film.
Adding to the celebrations, Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house behind Kalki 2898 AD, also extended their wishes on social media. They wrote, "Wishing our beautiful Deepika Padukone a very Happy Birthday! The wait may be longer, but light will shine through… Kalki 2898 AD.”
Earlier, during an interaction at IFFI, producer Swapna Dutt revealed exciting details about the sequel. She shared that Deepika's character would portray a mother in part of the sequel. “Pre-production work is underway for Kalki 2, and nearly 30% of the film has already been shot,” she added.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Kalki 2898 AD was released in multiple languages and featured an ensemble cast. Prabhas played Bhairava, Deepika Padukone portrayed Sumati, Amitabh Bachchan appeared as Ashwatthama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, and Disha Patani as Roxie.
