Legendary Bengali Screen Couple Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta Reunited for 50th Film, 'Ajogyo'

Bengali cinema witnessed a historic moment as Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta, the industry's most celebrated on-screen pair, reunited for their 50th film together, 'Ajogyo,' directed by Kaushik Ganguly.
The highly anticipated film premiered at Nandan Cinema last week, creating a wave among fans and film enthusiasts. The premiere was a star-studded affair attended by veterans like Lily Chakravarty, Shilajit Majumder, Ranjit Mallick, and Madhabi Mukherjee.
For decades, Prosenjit and Rituparna have been synonymous with on-screen romance. Their collaborations in iconic films like 'Santan Jakhan Satru,' 'Swamir Ghar,' and 'Sasur Bari Zindabad' continue to be cherished by audiences.
'Ajogyo' marks their much-awaited return as an onscreen pair after their successful films like Praktan (2016) and Drishtikone (2018) in the recent past.
Prosenjit Chatterjee expressed his delight at reuniting with Rituparna, saying, "Working with Rituparna again is a homecoming of sorts. We share a deep understanding and respect for each other's craft, and it reflects beautifully in 'Ajogyo.' It is unlike any film we have done before. At this stage of our career, working together requires us to challenge each other and this film was compelling enough for us to attempt it. We had a wonderful time shooting and it is a project very close to our hearts."
As 'Ajogyo' marks the return of the iconic pair of Prosenjit-Rituparna, it's nothing short of a treat for their fans.
