Pushpa 2 pips SRK's Jawan to bag highest collections for Hindi film on Day 1

Living up to the hype with good reviews from all corners, Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2 The Rule' roared at the box office with its first day collections.

Shattering records, the sequel movie garnered over Rs 165 crores across the country, according to trade analysts.
In addition, the action entertainer went on to bag "highest" collections on day 1 for a Hindi film with a staggering Rs 72 crore.
Taking to 'X', the makers said "HISTORY MADE in INDIAN CINEMA ❤‍🔥 #Pushpa2TheRule is HIGHEST DAY 1 OPENING HINDI FILM EVER with a Nett of 72 CRORES 💥💥💥 #RecordsRapaRapAA 🔥 RULING IN CINEMAS"
Pushpa 2 pipped Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Rs 65.5 crore) and Pathan (Rs 55 crore) to secure the top spot in the Bollywood highest 1st day collection list.
Moreover, the Hindi market occupancies touched about 59.83 per cent on Day 1, which for a non-holiday release is impressive.
