Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2
On its opening day, action entertainer Pushpa 2 raked in Rs 294 crore on Thursday, according to the makers of the movie. This is the India Net. figure. It goes without saying that the lion's share came from the Telugu version, with the Hindi market contributing about Rs 67 crore.
Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar, made Rs 95.1 crore in Telugu, Rs 67 crore in Hindi, Rs 7 crore in Tamil, Rs 1 crore in Kannada and Rs 5 crore in Malayalam.
The occupancy in the Telugu States stood at 82.66% on Thursday. As the day passed, the night shows witnessed increasing footfalls, reaching about 90.19%.
Since it was a non-holiday release, the Hindi market occupancies touched about 59.83%. The Hindi version's opening-day collections are higher than that of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.
