‘Race Gurram’ Re-Release On April 8, A Cult Entertainer
Race Gurram continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Telugu cinema lovers.

Producer Nallamalupu Bujji has expressed his delight over the re-release of Race Gurram, the blockbuster starring Allu Arjun, marking the star’s birthday celebrations on April 8.
Calling it a memorable occasion, Bujji shared, “It was a cherishable moment to celebrate his birthday at his place,” referring to the cake-cutting event where Allu Arjun also participated.
He recalled how Race Gurram emerged as a sensational hit, with Allu Arjun’s energetic portrayal of Lucky striking the perfect chord with mass audiences. Director Surender Reddy maintained a fine balance between high-energy entertainment and emotional depth, especially in the brotherly track that resonated strongly with viewers.
Music composer S. Thaman played a crucial role in the film’s success, with a background score that gave the narrative a pulsating rhythm. Songs like “Cinema Choopistha Maava” and “Boochade Boochade” turned into instant chartbusters and continue to remain popular among Telugu audiences even today.
One of the film’s most enduring highlights, however, is Brahmanandam’s iconic portrayal of Kill Bill Pandey. Introduced in the second half, the character almost takes over the narrative with a series of hilarious sequences that left theatres in splits. His performance not only became a major talking point at the time of release but has also enjoyed a long afterlife through memes, parodies, and viral clips across social media platforms.
Even over a decade later, Race Gurram continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Telugu cinema lovers, proving that its comedy, music, and performances have truly stood the test of time.
