Tiger Nageswara Rao First Indian film Ever to have an OTT Release in the Indian Sign Language

Hyderabad: Ravi Teja's Tiger Nageswara Rao, which had its theatrical release in October 2023, followed by a streaming premiere in November, has now been released on OTT in Indian sign language. It is reportedly the first Indian film to have such a release.

The film's producer Abhishek Aggarwal took to his social media page to make the announcement. He posted on his X page, “A new chapter in inclusivity in Indian Cinema. Tiger Nageswara Rao is the First Indian film to have an OTT Release in the Indian Sign Language.”
Sharing about the same, Abhishek stated, " When Kashmir files became the first film to release also in sign language that’s when they release how important it is to reach out to an audience who can’t hear or read and deprive them from the excitement of watching the film. So I made sure that Tiger Nageshwarao will be released in sign language not only in theatres but also on OTT. I plan to release more such films in the future to ensure inclusivity. This is the first Indian film to be released on OTT platforms with Indian Sign Language interpretation. This not only expands our national audience but also makes the film accessible to a global deaf and hard-of-hearing community. We're proud to be leading the way in this important shift towards inclusivity in Indian cinema."
Tiger Nageswara Rao was produced under the banner of Abhishek Aggarwal Arts who has produced The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2, and Goodachari among others, and directed by Vamsee. Ravi Teja played a thief in the film.
Besides Ravi Teja, the film starred Meenakshi Bhardwaj and Nupur Sanon in prominent roles. The ensemble cast included names like Renu Desai, Hareesh Peradi, Sudev Nair, Anupam Kher, and Murali Sharma. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director of the film, with cinematography by R Madhie and production design by Avinash Kolla.
