Samay Raina’s ‘Still Alive’ Sparks Fresh Row as Mukesh Khanna Hits Back
Khanna had termed the incident a serious offence that should not be taken lightly.

Samay Raina recently made his comeback with the show Still Alive after the India’s Got Latent controversy, but has landed in another controversy. In his comedy special, Still Alive, Raina took a swipe at actor Mukesh Khanna, among other celebrities. Khanna, who is unhappy with his remarks, hit back with harsh words.
Mukesh took to his social media and wrote, “The dog’s tail remains crooked. You can try putting it in a bottle, bring it out, and it will still be crooked. Samay Raina, too, has a crooked tail. No matter how much you thrash it or straighten it, it will still go back to being crooked, because he is not a simple, straightforward creature.”
In his latest stand-up special, Samay addressed the backlash he faced after Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial joke, which drew widespread criticism and brought the show under scrutiny. He noted that several public figures, including Mukesh Khanna, had weighed in on the issue. During the set, Samay also referenced Khanna’s iconic character Shaktimaan, pointing out how, in the past, children had imitated the superhero’s actions—sometimes dangerously—before taking a satirical dig at the actor’s remarks during the controversy.
At the time, Khanna had termed the incident a serious offence that should not be taken lightly. He argued that strict punishment was necessary to deter such behaviour in the future and, when asked about possible action, suggested that the offender be publicly shamed as a form of deterrence.
