Bengaluru: 68-year-old veteran actress Jayanthi, who was admitted to Vikram Hospital on Monday with chronic severe asthma and acute respiratory failure, is stable.
According to her treating doctor Dr K.S. Satish, Senior Pulmonologist, Vikram Hospital, "Asthma attacks are common during this season and she has been a very old patient of mine and is progressing well with treatment. All her parameters are stable, and she will be out of ventilator shortly. However, she will be closely monitored in the ICU. She will mostly likely be shifted to the ward on Thursday. By end of this week, considering her health condition she may be discharged."
Also, the doctors at Vikram Hospital and Jayanti's family have requested all her fans, friends and well-wishers not to believe in any rumours. "We will keep you all updated on her health condition," Dr Satish said.
