Darshan was not present at scene of crime, says Lawyer

A lot has been going on in the Kannada film industry in the last few days. Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is arrested by the Karnataka police in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case. As per the latest update, advocate Anil, who is representing Darshan at the court in this high-profile murder case of Renukaswamy, made it clear that his client is innocent.

He went on to say that Darshan has no involvement in this homicide and alleged that the CCTV footage has Darshan's Jeep on the crime scene. According to Anil, the police are yet to provide concrete proof that Darshan is present at the area of the crime.

As per a news report, he said, "The first query is whether that automobile belongs to Darshan, which is to be installed. Secondly, the police have to affirm that Darshan was within the automobile, that is the most essential point," he explained. He firmly said that Darshan is not concerned with the homicide and disregarded any speculation about his client paying a person or knowing about such bills.

Darshan’s arrest, along with Kannada actor Pavithra Gowda, has garnered great media attention and public interest. Though Anil keeps stressing about Darshan being innocent, he is yet to be proved innocent by the police and the judiciary. Meanwhile, actors from the Kannada film industry have also started reacting to what is happening.
