I cannot believe Darshan did this, says Kananda actress Rachita Ram

Kannada actress Rachita Ram, acquainted to Telugu audiences for her role in the movie Super Machi, has spoken out about the recent controversy concerning Challenging Star Darshan Thoogudeepa, which has caused great upheaval within the film enterprise.

Rachita Ram shared her mind on social media, pointing out that she was writing as a commonplace citizen in place of as an actress. Rachita went on to express her condolences for Renuka Swamy and said she is looking forward to justice in this homicide case.

Darshan is said to have guided and mentored Rachita in her career in the film industry. She further wrote that she is finding it difficult for her to trust he may be involved in such an incident. Rachita Ram expressed self belief that the police investigation would find the facts and was hoping the media would document the case transparently and impartially. Rachita Ram was last seen alongside Darshan in the 2023 movie Kranti. They had formerly collaborated on Bulbul, Ambareesha, Amar, and Jaggu Dada.

For those unaware, actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and actress Pavitra Gowda have been arrested on Tuesday, June 11, via the Kamakshipalya police in reference to the Renuka Swamy murder case. There are a total of 17 accused within the case, with some having been arrested later and others surrendering to the police. Stay tuned for more updates in this trouble.
