Shankar not satisfied with output of Game Changer

Noted director S Shankar expressed his disappointment with the output of ‘Game Changer'. “I am not completely satisfied with the output of Game Changer. I should have done better. Many good scenes have been trimmed due to time constraints. Total duration came down to more than five hours. We have cut down a few things to acquire a sculpture," Shankar said in an interview with a Tamil youtube channel.

Shankar made his debut in Telugu after tasting success with dubbed movies in Telugu states. He has delivered many blockbusters from 'Gentleman' to 'Aparichitudu' and 'Robo', to be hailed as a commercial filmmaker. In fact, top Telugu director Rajamouli hailed him as the uncrowned king of commercial cinema and claimed that he has inspired him to expand 'filmmakers vision' and also showed the way that 'huge films do make money too' at a pre-release event.
Game Changer tells the story of an IAS officer, Ram Nandan, played by Ram Charan, who decides to clean up corruption in electoral politics. This is a problem for corrupt politician Mopidevi, played by Suryah, who is aiming for the CM’s chair. The film follows their cat-and-mouse chase.
The film has touched Rs 100 mark across India and according to distributors, “the film has garnered Rs 106 crore plus with Rs 75 crores plus from Telugu states, while Hindi has garnered Rs 27 crores and remaining amounts from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.”
