Actress Shivani Rajasekhar has been signed on for a key role in R. Madhavan’s upcoming film, titled GDN.
The film is a biopic of a renowned innovator, GD Naidu, and it is directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar. Shivani will join the sets of the movie in the June schedule.
According to a report, the shooting of the international schedule commenced last year, and the schedule in India is set to start from next week in Coimbatore, which is the birthplace of GD Naidu.
Shivani Rajasekhar is the elder daughter of Dr Rajasekhar and Jeevitha. She has acted in films like Kota Bommali IPS, Nenjuku Needhi, Anbarivu, and Shekar.
GD Naidu, an inventor and engineer, was referred to as the “Edison of India” and “the wealth creator of Coimbatore.” He is credited with developing the first electric motor in India in 1937.
The movie is backed by Vijay Moolan’s Varghese Moolan Pictures and Madhavan’s Tricolour Films.
