The icon of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan made his debut on the Hurun India Rich List, with a staggering net worth of Rs 7,300 crore as of 2024. This is his debut on the prestigious list where he has already surpassed numerous industry stalwarts.
His ownership in the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise and his production company Red Chillies Entertainment contribute significantly to his net worth. He was included to the list mostly as a result of his Kolkata Knight Riders assets increasing in value.
Shah Rukh Khan has overtaken Juhi Chawla and family (Rs 4,600 crore), Hrithik Roshan (Rs 2,000 crore), Amitabh Bachchan and family (Rs 1,600 crore), and Karan Johar (Rs 1,400 crore), according to the list. Kolkata Knight Riders are jointly owned by actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta through Knight Riders Sports, a vertical of the Knight Riders Group.
According to the list, Hrithik Roshan gets the most of his wealth from his fashion brand HRX, Amitabh Bachchan from his investments, and Karan Johar from the production company Dharma Productions.
The Hurun India Rich List of 2024 has a record-breaking 1,539 entries from various backgrounds, such as family-run businesses, startup founders, and movie stars, which highlights the diversity of India's wealth creators.
